Terms of service
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Ollie when you use Ollie, the app at app.ollieseo.com, and the blogs we host for you. By creating an account, signing in or subscribing, you accept them. Please read them; the privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
The short version
- Ollie researches, drafts and hosts blog articles for your app. The drafts are written with AI, so you review them, and you decide what gets published.
- Your content stays yours. We only use it to run Ollie for you.
- We can't promise rankings, traffic, downloads or revenue. Search engines and readers decide those.
- Paid plans renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months (at least €100), except where the law doesn't allow a limit.
1. Who we are and who these terms are for
Ollie is run by Bradley Vangelder, a sole trader in Belgium (VAT BE1027064506) ("Ollie", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@ollieseo.com.
Ollie is a tool for businesses: app makers, founders and the teams that work with them, and we only sell it to them. When you subscribe, you confirm you do so for your business. If you use Ollie for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it, and "you" means both you and that company. You must be at least 18 to create an account. If you use Ollie as a consumer anyway, section 12 explains the rights the law gives you that these terms don't change.
2. Your account
You sign in with a link we email you, so whoever controls your inbox controls your account. Keep that inbox secure, give us accurate details, and tell us at hello@ollieseo.com if you think someone else has got in. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what teammates you invite do there.
3. What Ollie does
Ollie reads your app's public pages and the answers you give during setup, researches what people search for, suggests article ideas, drafts articles with AI models, and publishes the ones you approve on a blog we host. Depending on what you connect, it also shows how those articles perform.
We keep improving Ollie, so features change, for reasons such as new features, changes in the law, or a provider we rely on changing or ending its service. If we remove something that's a main part of your paid plan, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead, and you can cancel and get back the unused part of anything you paid in advance for it.
4. AI-written articles: you review, you publish
Ollie's drafts are produced by AI models from the sources it researched and the information you gave us. We check drafts for problems we can detect, such as unsupported claims and missing sources, but AI output can still be wrong, incomplete, out of date or similar to text published elsewhere.
- Read every article before you publish it. Publishing is your decision, and you are the publisher of what appears on your blog.
- You are responsible for what articles say about your own product, prices, results and competitors, and for any professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise) they could be taken as. Articles are general information, not advice from Ollie.
- Facts you add, and claims you tell Ollie it may make, must be true and yours to make.
- Rankings, traffic, downloads, sign-ups and revenue depend on search engines, your market and your product. Ollie doesn't guarantee any of them, and numbers we show (search volumes, difficulty, estimates) are estimates from third-party data.
5. Your content and what we may do with it
"Your content" means what you give us (answers, product details, photos, edits) and the articles, ideas and images Ollie produces for your account. As between you and us, your content belongs to you, and you may use the articles Ollie writes for you however you like, on your blog or anywhere else.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, adapt and publish your content only as needed to run Ollie for you: to research and write your articles, host your blog, show you how it performs, and keep backups. The licence ends when your content is deleted, apart from copies we must keep by law. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't sell it. Until you publish it, we keep your content and connections confidential, and only the providers listed in the privacy policy process it for us.
You confirm you have the rights to what you upload and connect, including logos, screenshots and photos. Free photos Ollie suggests come with their own licence and credit line; keep the credit when you publish them.
Ollie itself (the software, design, prompts and brand) belongs to us. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
6. What you may not do
Don't use Ollie to:
- publish anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, deceptive or that infringes someone else's rights, including fake reviews and false claims about competitors;
- promote products that are illegal where they are sold, or content aimed at children;
- spread malware, phishing or spam, or manipulate search results through link schemes;
- get around plan limits, share an account beyond your team, resell Ollie, or use it to build a competing product;
- probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer Ollie, or access parts of it you weren't given.
7. Blogs we host and reporting content
Every project gets a free address on ollieseo.com, and you can connect your own domain instead. You're responsible for your domain and its settings; if it stops pointing at Ollie, your blog won't show there. We choose the free address format and may change it if a name is misleading, infringes someone's rights or impersonates another business.
Because we host blogs, anyone can tell us about content they believe is illegal by emailing hello@ollieseo.com with the page address, what is wrong with it and why. We act on reports promptly. We may remove or disable content that is illegal or breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law or an authority stops us. If you disagree, reply to that message and we'll review it.
8. Other services you connect
Ollie works with services run by others, such as Google Search Console, App Store Connect, RevenueCat, Superwall and Stripe. When you connect one, its own terms apply between you and that provider. We aren't responsible for those services, their data or their availability, and you can disconnect them in Ollie at any time.
9. Readers' data we process for you
When your blog, Ollie's website script or Ollie's app SDK records visits, clicks, sign-ups or app events, you decide what that is for and we process it on your behalf. For that processing you are the controller and we are your processor, and this section is our data processing agreement under article 28 of the GDPR. The privacy policy describes what is recorded, for how long, and where.
- We process that data only to give you Ollie's performance numbers, following these terms and the settings you choose, unless the law requires otherwise; if the law does, we'll tell you first where we may.
- Only people who run Ollie can access it, and they are bound to keep it confidential. We protect it as the privacy policy's security section describes.
- You allow us to use the providers listed in the privacy policy as sub-processors, under contracts that protect the data at least as well as this section. We'll tell you before we add or replace one, and you can object; if we can't resolve that, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused part of anything you paid in advance. Transfers outside the EU rely on the safeguards the privacy policy names.
- We'll help you answer requests from people about their data, and with security and impact assessments, as far as Ollie's role allows. We'll tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting this data.
- When your account closes, we delete this data as the privacy policy describes, unless the law requires us to keep it. On request, we'll give you the information you need to check we keep to this section.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis for this processing and for telling your readers and users about it. Ollie's website script keeps a random reference in the visitor's browser and Ollie's app SDK sends a random install ID; where the law requires consent for that, such as under the ePrivacy rules in the EU, you must get it before you turn them on.
10. Plans, payment and cancellation
- Free start: new accounts get four articles without a card. We may change or end the free start for new accounts.
- Paid plans: each plan's price and article allowance are shown on the plan page in the app. You pay monthly or yearly in advance, in euros, through Stripe. A plan renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price until you cancel.
- VAT: Ollie uses the Belgian small-business exemption, so no VAT is charged and the price shown is the price you pay. If you're a business elsewhere, you may have to account for VAT in your own country under the reverse charge. If our VAT position changes, we'll tell you before any VAT is added.
- Cancelling: cancel any time under Settings, Plan and usage. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep access until then. Except where these terms or the law say otherwise, we don't refund partly used periods or unused articles.
- Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. It applies from your next renewal after that, and you can cancel before then.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails and isn't fixed after Stripe's reminders, we may pause article writing and publishing until it is. Your content stays in your account.
11. Suspension and ending the agreement
You can stop using Ollie and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, doesn't pay, or puts other users, readers or Ollie at legal risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll warn you first and give you time to fix it. If we close your account without you having broken these terms, we'll refund the unused part of anything you paid in advance.
When an account closes, its blogs go offline. You can download your articles and settings under Settings, Data until then, and for 30 days afterwards on request. After that we delete your content as described in the privacy policy. Sections 4, 5, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
12. If you're a consumer
Ollie is meant for business use. If you use it as a consumer in the EU, you keep every right consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms limits them. In particular, you can withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason, by emailing us that you withdraw. By subscribing, you ask us to start providing Ollie straight away, within those 14 days. If you then withdraw, we refund what you paid within 14 days, minus an amount in proportion to what we provided before you told us. Section 14's limits, the indemnity in section 15 and the choice of court in section 16 don't apply to you where consumer law doesn't allow them.
13. Availability
We work to keep Ollie and the blogs we host running and secure, but we don't promise they will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Ollie depends on providers such as hosting, AI models and search data, and we may pause parts of it for maintenance or to deal with a problem. Apart from what these terms say, Ollie is provided as it is, without other promises, to the extent the law allows.
14. Our liability
Our total liability for all claims connected with Ollie in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or €100 if that is more.
We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, revenue, customers or goodwill, lost search rankings or traffic, or the cost of replacement services. We also aren't liable for what you publish, for articles you published without reviewing them, for third-party services you connect, or for problems caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
15. Claims about your content
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you published through Ollie, information or material you gave us, or your breach of section 6, you'll cover our reasonable costs and any amount we have to pay as a result. We'll tell you about the claim promptly, let you take part in handling it, and not settle it in a way that admits fault on your behalf without your agreement.
16. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms for a valid reason, such as a change in the law, in what Ollie offers, or in a provider we rely on. If a change matters, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then and we'll refund the unused part of anything you paid in advance. Continuing to use Ollie after the date means you accept the new terms. Changes required by law or to fix a security issue can apply sooner.
Belgian law governs these terms. Please email us first so we can try to solve any problem together. If we can't, disputes with businesses go to the courts of the judicial district of Limburg, Belgium. Consumers can also use the courts where they live.
17. The rest
These terms, together with the privacy policy and the plan you chose, are the whole agreement between us about Ollie. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away doesn't mean we give it up. You can't transfer this agreement without our written consent; we may transfer it to someone who takes over Ollie, under the same terms. These terms are written in English, and that version applies.
